We’re calling it: 2024 is the year of short, simple nails. It’s officially time for long nails to find a spot on the bench.
Off the back of the shift towards natural, neat and ‘clean’ looking nails, in 2024 your manicure is getting a serious makeup under, with short, simple nails coming out on top. (We can almost hear our bank accounts celebrating).
Short nails will reign supreme — with the classic squoval (a soft combination of square and oval) nails coming out on top as the preferred shape. And look, while we love jazzy nail art and long OTT nails, there’s just something about short nails that just makes you look so polished and chic.
So, expect to see a rise in simple designs, sheer, pearlescent colours and clear shades — perfect for that barely-there elegance.
