7-year-old missing, allegedly taken by grandmother

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A 7-year-old boy has been listed as a “critical missing juvenile” after he was allegedly taken from his home by his grandmother overnight on Tuesday, July 22.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the missing child is identified as Gregory Lazard III. He stands at 3 feet and 6 inches tall and weighs around 55 pounds.

Investigators say he was taken from his home in the 6300 block of Keubel Drive by his grandmother, identified as 54-year-old Antoinette Edwards Johnson, who is believed to have been driving a red 2018 Toyota Corolla with the license plate 724CAV.
