Suburban bowling clubs across Fremantle will be transformed into live music hubs this June.
Fremantle’s favourite winter music series Hidden Treasures returns for its 15th year, bringing a range of local and emerging artists together to share their unique and experimental sounds.
The bowling clubs will become multi-stage rooms featuring pop-up stages, silent discos and quirky performances, with curators Boox Kid, Lubly Dae Crew and Siobhan Cotchin shaping the line up.
City of Fremantle creative programs lead Ofa Fotu said such events were important for Fremantle’s culture.

“Bringing the festival to North Fremantle and Hilton is about more than just performances – it’s about community participation. Every ticket bought, every drink at the bar, every sausage sizzle supports these local venues and helps keep them alive.”
This comes as the city’s music scene continues to expand. Venues such as Mojo’s Bar, Clancy’s Fish Pub and Freo Social are catering for local music lovers and continuing Fremantle’s reputation as a WA music hoptspot.
“We’ve already seen how powerful that can be. When communities show up, venues grow, evolve, and create new opportunities for connection. That’s what we want for these bowling clubs—to become places people return to, not just for events, but as part of their everyday community life,” she said.

This year’s line up is ensuring something for everyone, with standout performances from nationally-acclaimed funk and soul artist Navisha, R&B “fairy princess” Persia and three-piece alternative punk-folk band Symmetrical Dogs.
Audiences can also expect experimental folk from Oakabella & The Maeflies, dreamy jazz-pop from singer Coco Elise and gritty electric DJ sets from artists such as Onike and E-V.
The festival will kick off at North Freo Bowlo on June 11 at 5:30pm. Hilton Park Bowling Club will host the next session on June 18, also at 5:30pm.
Tickets are available online.
