Rather than relying on traditional brick-and-mortar locations during its tour, the brand partners with existing Black-owned businesses across the country, aiming to spark conversations about ownership, design, and hospitality. Previous tour stops include Atlanta, Detroit, Houston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Delaware.

The Charlotte weekend highlights that mission through back-to-back pop-ups with local mainstays: Cheryse Terry’s Archive CLT, a West Charlotte cafe and cultural hub dedicated to Black ephemera and history, and Kerrel and Nkem Thompson’s Bird Pizzeria, an Optimist Park destination known for its acclaimed East Coast-style pies.

Phone pre-orders opened Monday at 10 a.m. for a special menu of six cakes, featuring basil olive oil, orange saffron, lemon blueberry pound, brûlée sweet potato pound, pineapple upside down, and jalapeño peach.
