Dana White Addresses Status Of WWE & UFC Relationship

UFC President Dana White has provided an update on collaborations between UFC and WWE, or lack thereof.

Nine months on from the Endeavor takeover of both companies there have been some small signs that both promotions are now under the same umbrella such as announcing MMA and wrestling events in the same venue over the course of a weekend and the upcoming NXT Premium Live Event being held in the UFC Apex on June 9th. However, those who expected to see much more crossover between the athletes in each company have been left somewhat disappointed as appearances have only been cameos in the crowd and nothing more.

During the post-fight press conference following UFC 302, White was asked about his experiences working with the professional wrestling company, to which he responded that both promotions have remained separate entities:

“It’s very separate, I haven’t worked with them at all,” White responded. “I do what I do and they do what they do. They’re using some of the people from my team to help them in different areas business-wise but as far as putting on live events, WWE is very good at what they do and we’re very good at what we do, and that’s about as far as it goes with me.”

In May, WWE and UFC continued behind-the-scenes changes as they merged another department.

Dana White Previously Asked About UFC Fighter Transitioning To Professional Wrestling

Wrestlers trying their hand at MMA and UFC fighters attempting to become professional wrestlers is nothing new with the likes of Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey each being successful in both sports. During a previous press conference, Dana White elaborated further on a UFC fighter’s comments about possibly competing in WWE.
