The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of interest off the U.S. coast that could bring heavy rainfall to Florida over the next few days.The trough of low pressure located off the coast of Florida is causing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.The disturbance is forecast to move into the north-central Gulf, where environmental conditions could allow for slow development. The NHC expects the system to move inland by the weekend, ending any chances of development.
