Its co-founder Eunice Dudley says perseverance is key to its success.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — For 57 years the Dudley Beauty brand has promoted beauty, education, and history.
The black-owned business has two locations in Greensboro.
The beauty shop on South Elm has lived in the same spot for 53 years.
Beauty School Director Eunice Dudley credits perseverance to her success.
“We saw flourishing business around us 50 years ago and a lot of them left,” Dudley shared, “We weathered the storm, anytime you can stay in a location 53 years you are doing something wonderful.”
She said it all started with making hair products in her kitchen and a dream to create products catered to the betterment of people.
Dudley Beauty is known for its connection to hair but there is so much more to the brand including skincare and self-care.
Our team also stopped by Dudley’s Center and Spa on East Market Street its manager Clastine Covington said the brand is all about catering to clients.
“The trust comes with the name Dudley,” Covington explains, “When you look good you feel good… we have clients that still come in at the age 105 and only let us touch their hair.”
There are additional Dudley Cosmetology Beauty Schools in Washington D.C. and Illinois.
