Wedding bells are ringing for basketball star Dwight Howard!
The former NBA player, 39, and rapper Amy Luciani, 34, announced their engagement on Instagram on Friday, Dec. 20, while sharing several loving photos and videos of their time together.
In her post, Luciani — known for her appearance on season 11 of the MTV reality show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta — shared a clip of Howard holding her left hand, which was adorned with a diamond engagement ring.
Howard could be seen smiling up at her as he grazed the ring, which appears to be square-cut and is set on top of several smaller stones. The camera then pans to a large diamond ring on Howard’s finger, though it is currently unclear whether the ring is related to the engagement.
In the same post, the musician shared videos of herself and the Dancing with the Stars alum having fun together, dancing and celebrating his recent birthday on Dec. 8. She also shared snaps of the pair posing side-by-side and smiling at events and on shopping trips.
“I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are,” Luciani captioned the post. “Thank you for bringing me back to the word. Anything I say or fuss about, first thing you say is “Did you pray about it?” Then I realized I hadn’t being praying much lately at all.”

“I’m just thankful, happy and ready for everything that’s coming our way. I prayed reallllll deep on a Thursday not knowing 2 days later God would send me a Bible totin, tattood giant with the same heart as me. Thank you,” she added.
Howard responded in the comments section of the post, sending an infinity emoji, a red heart emoji and a lock and key emoji.

The athlete posted his own post on the same day, alluding to the engagement and writing, “Happy 😅♾️❤️ #blacklove #prayedforthis.” He shared a trio of photos of the couple from the Den of Thieves 2 premiere in Atlanta premiere on Dec. 18, including a sweet snap of him grinning widely.
The couple has kept their relationship relatively private up to this point. However, they have been spotted out at events together in recent months.

Howard most recently starred in the latest season of DWTS, which premiered on Sept. 13. However, he ultimately was unable to add the mirrorball trophy to his collection of awards, as he was eliminated on Nov. 12 — which also happened to be the show’s 500th episode.
