One WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t totally bought into LA Knight‘s persona.
Few WWE Superstars have seen as quick a rise to popularity as Knight. The former Eli Drake has found favor with fans across the world, but speaking in a new episode of Grilling JR, WWE Hall of Famer and AEW announcer Jim Ross admits he’d like to see more from the star.
“LA Knight is one of the favorites of the (WWE) office. I haven’t totally bought into his persona. And not to say that in a bad way – I haven’t seen him do anything I didn’t like. I just gotta feel it more. I gotta feel it more.
“They gotta do a little bit more character development to get me to buy in on who this dude is and why I should give a s**t.”

However, JR doesn’t want fans to believe he’s not impressed by Knight’s skills. Continuing, he said the star has a bright future ahead of him and is more than capable both in the ring and on the microphone.
“But, he’s got a good future ahead of him, no doubt about that.
“And LA Knight can talk, he can take bumps, he can feed a comeback, he can mechanically execute what is needed to be done.”
Knight himself has expressed frustrations with his booking in WWE, pointing to the fact that he’s never held major gold in the company despite his popularity.
Meanwhile, JR recently announced that he’s signed a new deal with AEW.
