Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges address wild marriage rumors
Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges made headlines back in February when they got engaged.
There was a whole buildup to Duck popping the question on February 12 on George Jones’ estate, and the entire country music world seemed invested in it. And seems like folks are still pretty interested in the relationship, and just when and how the two are going to get hitched.
In fact, it appears that some rumors floating around out there have folks believing the pair might have already said, “I do.” Country Living said that AI generated images have helped the rumors gain steam.
So, the duo put out a video on Duck’s TikTok over the weekend, addressing it all.
“What are you going to tell AI?” Wilson can be heard saying in the background.
“If you going to put out stuff about us, at least make us look good,” Hodges said into the video as she starts to laugh. “We look like (expletive).”
He captioned the video, “Attention to those making AI photos of me and Lainey … Sincerely, The couple who hasn’t had a wedding yet.”
So, there’s the answer for folks who might have seen some photos floating around social media claiming the two have already gotten married. No, not yet, but they do plan on making it happen in the future.
Hodges and Wilson reportedly first began dating in 2021. She has risen to the upper echelon of country music in recent years.
Meanwhile, Hodges is a retired NFL quarterback. He went undrafted out of Samford in 2019, and signed with the Steelers as a free agent. He was with the team through 2020, making several starts. He signed with the Rams in 2021 and also played with the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 before calling it a career.
He finished his time in the NFL with 1,063 passing yards to go with five touchdowns and eight interceptions.
