Maybelline’s ‘Maybe It’s Maybelline’ tour brings beauty, confidence and mental health awareness to campuses nationwide

Maybelline’s “Maybe It’s Maybelline” Tour stopped by TCU on April 7 and 8, turning the Student Union into a mini beauty festival.

The event ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and gave students a chance to try new products, learn about mental health and walk away with free makeup and tips from beauty experts.

Registration and mental health awareness

To start, attendees filled out three quick forms: one to check in, one to raise awareness for anxiety and depression and one to match them with their ideal Maybelline foundation shade.

The mental health form served as a reminder of the importance of self-care and emotional well-being. The tour emphasized that confidence isn’t just about how you look, but how you feel on the inside too.

The Maybelline truck experience

Inside the truck, LED signs lit up with empowering phrases like “Look Good” and “Feel Brave,” reinforcing the connection between beauty and confidence.

The Maybelline truck displayed the message, decorating it with vibrant colors, mirrors and product displays to create a fun and Instagram-worthy space for students to explore.

Students spun a foundation wheel to see if it landed on the same shade that matched them. If it did, they won a free full-size foundation right on the spot.

“Basically, you filled out three forms, one to check you in, one for mental health awareness and one for foundation shade matching,” Lexi Drap, a TCU junior finance student, said. “The truck was decorated all cute, and the Maybelline team was so sweet and helpful.”

Beauty goodies and free products

Even if students didn’t win foundation, they still walked away with goodies. Everyone got a bag with five Maybelline products: a mascara, a clear brow gel and a lip combo (lip liner, lipstick, and lip gloss), and the student got to pick the shades.

There was also a beauty bar with tutorials and QR codes for trends. Plus, if you posted on social media with #MaybellineOnTour, you received a shimmer highlighter stick.

It was an uplifting event all about makeup, confidence and mental health awareness.
