Michelle Monaghan’s favorite saying may be “This too shall pass,” but thanks to her standout role in season three of The White Lotus, the actress, 49, is happy to relish the present.
“I’ve been around [Hollywood] for 25 years. I know that there is an ebb and a flow in any career. And so this is a real celebratory moment for me,” she says of starring on the hit HBO show.
She’s also shining bright offscreen, landing her debut beauty campaign for U Beauty. For Monaghan, taking care of her skin goes deeper than just her appearance.
More than a decade ago she was diagnosed with melanoma, which she says was “a turning point” in her life.
Now sunscreen is a “nonnegotiable,” and she relies on her U Beauty products to keep her skin camera-ready.
When it comes to makeup, she’s a minimalist, but she loves to have her daughter Willow, 16, do her glam for events. “It’s a perfect moment,” she says.
“Getting to be that close to her face and having her look at me so intensely and being so present with me, I could almost cry.”
