UNCASVILLE, MASS. — Massachusetts (1-5) dropped an 59-92 decision to Florida State (6-1) on Sunday afternoon at Mohegan Sun.
The Minutemen showed fight early, tying the game with just five minutes to go in the first half but struggled to keep the momentum going into the second. Massachusetts owned the glass, grabbing 38 rebounds including 17 on the offensive side of the ball.
Sophomore Jaylen Curry scored a team-high 17 points for the second consecutive night. Curry has now scored in double figures in five consecutive games, leading the Minutemen in points in four straight.
Freshman Nate Guerengomba scored a career-high 10 points across 25 minutes of action. Senior Daniel Rivera tallied 12 points while snagging six rebouns.
The Seminoles were led by Jamir Watkins, who scored 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
