Going to start by saying – I'm a teacher. So how I lay things out is how I'd explain to my class. Anyways…
I wanted to point something out here that I think is important. I'm typically a lurker because I feel like arguing on the Internet is pointless without discussion, flexibility or movement. That said, insight from lurkers sometimes helps clear the weeds. So here it is.
Whether you realize it or not, there is plenty going on behind the scenes that when you take a moment and step back, you will notice. The thing is? It doesn't explicitly say 'Epstein Files'.
The files have connected way more than most realize and right now the Epstein set is racing against time, but the proverbial genie is already out of the bottle. Can't unring the bell that released the files that were made public, and once it's clear the stories those files are telling (and trust me when I say there is way more story than a lot of people realize), the clarity as to why the rest should be release will be unmistakable. Let's take a look:
The Wyden/King Grats Bill
April 14, 2026
Wyden, King Bill Would Close Major Tax Loophole Involving High-Value Trusts. The Bill Would Address Abuse of Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts by the Ultra-Wealthy to Dodge Income, Gift and Estate Taxes
What you need to know? This is a loophole closer that is meant to zero in on the exact sort of loopholes Epstein and his different networks were using. GRATS and CLATS in particular were used in a myriad of ways in relationship to tax planning.
Now, connect that with…
The IRS Whistleblower Alert
IR-2026-54, April 17, 2026
WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today issued a Whistleblower Alert highlighting an area of concern about misuse, diversion or fraudulent use of federal funds by tax-exempt organizations, individuals and businesses, and urged the public to provide information.
“Whistleblower Alerts are a new way for the IRS to spotlight high-risk areas and reach people who may have direct knowledge of noncompliance,” said IRS Chief Executive Officer Frank J. Bisignano. “We are expanding how we identify potential fraud, and these alerts will help connect us with individuals who can provide credible, timely information.”
The IRS Whistleblower Program offers monetary awards of up to 30% of proceeds collected based on whistleblower-provided information. Whistleblowers are encouraged to report specific, timely, and credible information about noncompliance with tax laws or other laws the IRS is authorized to administer. Whistleblowers should report what they know via Form 211, Application for Award for Original Information, at IRS.gov/SubmitATip.
The IRS Whistleblower Office intends to issue additional Whistleblower Alerts in the future as other high-risk areas emerge.
According to a few different Internet searches (do it yourself if you don't believe me) alerts such as this represent approximately 2 to 3% of the alerts they put out each year. Essentially only a handful of 'rare' alerts happen each year and typically they are coordinated with the DOJ and with the IG of the Treasury. That's REAL movement and again, real movement on the specific types of cases that the ultra-wealthy would be scrutinized for.
Now that you've got that in your back pocket, take a peek here…
The Department of Justice Inspector General Audit
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 23, 2026
The DOJ Office of the Inspector General (OIG is initiating an audit of DOJ’s compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Our preliminary objective is to evaluate the DOJ’s processes for identifying, redacting, and releasing records in its possession as required by the Act. To accomplish this preliminary objective, the OIG plans to focus on reviewing (1) the DOJ’s identification, collection, and production of responsive material; (2) DOJ guidance and processes for redacting and withholding material consistent with the requirements enumerated in the Act; and (3) DOJ’s processes for addressing post-release publication concerns. If circumstances warrant, the OIG will consider addressing other issues that may arise during the course of the audit.)
This one speaks for itself. The DOJ is investigating itself. These things are quiet. The media has been captured by special interests and corporate interests at this point, so most of what we get is sane-washed and normalized to a point that we struggle to see the forest for the trees, but meanwhile? The worker bees are absolutely working.
In teacher talk, we call that the ZPD (Zone of proximal development, but it's about proximity and cause). What I'm saying is listen harder and you'll hear (see) the grinding mechanisms as they begin to engage. While we can't see what is happening, all indicators point to more than a bit of movement around each of these areas, happening slow and steady. They aren't grandstanding, which means quite possibly (fingers crossed and betting on the odds, given what we've seen thus far) things are happening. The Senate Oversight, IRS and DOJ IG all indicate that some of the folks who maybe were on the inside and too afraid to speak out before have started to step forward.
Maybe you see it differently, and I'd definitely be curious if others have noticed all this quiet movement like I have, and what your thoughts are. Either way, it's all very real and soon enough, the House Oversight will be interviewing people.
