It’s almost summertime, and if you’re lucky enough to have a backyard space, you surely are prepping it for the warm weather and sunny days ahead. This means breaking out the patio furniture and cushions and getting your garden in tip-top shape!
That’s exactly what TikToker Maddie Perry has been doing. Last summer, Maddie and her dad DIY’d a patio that completely transformed her backyard. “This spring, I’m going to be making it cute,” explained Maddie. “It’s my goal to turn it into a European garden oasis.”
First, Maddie went to Home Depot and Lowes to grab soil, mulch and flowers. Next, Maddie stained a wood addition that was added to her porch and glued her pebble rocks in her patio so they couldn’t be kicked around.

Maddie found some hanging flower baskets from Amazon and secured them to her patio railing. She filled up the flower baskets with flowers from Costco.
Maddie then planted dahlias and hydrangeas in some gorgeous pots that looked very Italian, except Maddie scored them from Lowe’s. She felt they really tied the backyard together and cemented the European feel of the space.
After a quick lawn mow, it was time for Maddie to enjoy new backyard set up. A fire pit, cozy seating and dining table made everything come together flawlessly.
