West Palm Beach, Fla. – The Towson University women’s golf team opens its 2025 spring season with a trip to Florida for the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate hosted by University of North Carolina Greensboro, from Feb. 9-11.
The Advance Golf Partners Collegiate will be a 54-hole competition with rounds of 18 holes being played each day over three days. The tournament is being contested at Hammock Creek Golf Club, in Palm City. The par 72 layout will play at 6,143 yards (6,081 yards for round two on Monday) for the event.
The Tigers will join UNCG for the three-day tournament along with 16 other schools: Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Bryant, Bucknell, East Tennessee State, Elon, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Little Rock, Memphis, Merrimack, Morehead State, Ohio, Southern Illinois and Virginia Tech.

Fall Recap
The Tigers 2024 fall season began at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. After three days of tournament play, the team finished in fourth place after rounds of 300, 302 and 314. Four Tigers also finished in the top 25 and the team shot 14 rounds in the 70s.
The Towson University women’s golf team then traveled to three more invitationals over a five-week stretch – the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Navy Fall Invite and the Edisto Island Invitational. The Tigers secured a top 10 finish at the Navy Fall Invite after Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon, Grace Oristian and Luciana Calbimonte each shot rounds of 74 or lower in the final round. Junior Peyton Costabile led the Tigers in the Fall 2024 campaign with a scoring average of 75.91. Three of her Tiger teammates shot their lowest collegiate career rounds during the fall season. Senior Rayab Lee shot her collegiate low of 71 in the first round of the Bucknell Invitational. Kanchanaphiboon and Oristian also each established career lows during the fall, shooting 70 and 72 respectively in the final round at Navy.
New Additions
In January, Towson University’s Director of Golf Mike Larkin named Rachel Yu (Women’s Golf) and Brian Sadler (Men’s Golf) associate head coaches. Both started this past Wednesday, Feb. 5. Larkin noted that “this is a really exciting time for Towson Golf, to be able to move to this structure of having three coaches between our two programs… the experience for our student-athletes will improve drastically and immediately with these two great additions.”
Upcoming Schedule
The Tigers are set to play in four regular-season tournaments this spring season.
Following the UNCG Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, the team will travel to the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia on Feb. 23 to face off against William & Mary in The Griffin Match Play. The Tigers will then attend the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Arizona from Mar. 14-16 at the Oakcreek Country Club.
The Towson University women’s golf team will continue its spring campaign at the Golfweek Spring Invite in Pawleys Island, South Carolina from Mar. 31-Apr. 2. A week after that, the CAA Championships will be held in Southport, North Carolina from Apr. 11-13, at the Reserve Club at St. James.
