Your stories to look out for in North Central Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The Marion County Internet Crimes against Children team hosts a town hall on parenting in the digital age on Monday. It is designed to help parents take proactive steps to combat the skyrocketing number of internet crimes against young people.

On Tuesday, UF IFAS researchers announce their preliminary results on the impacts of Hurricane Debby on agriculture in North Central Florida.

The Give4Marion donation event run for 24 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fund drive benefits more than 13 charities across Marion County.

On Thursday, officials hold a ribbon-cutting for the new interface youth shelter in Gainesville. The short term time out shelter is for kids age 10-17.
