Speaking on a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker-T opened up in great detail about Jacob Fatu, and had a lot of good things to say about the individual. He attributed his current success to his attitude and willingness to work through the hierarchy and push through every obstacle that comes his way.
He said, “Definitely on the rise, he’s the real deal. He’s going to go out there, he’s going to leave everything in the middle of that ring as far as performance goes.”
He further added, “He’s willing to work for it. That’s what I appreciate about this kid, he’s worked so freaking hard to get to this position. It took going through those trials and tribulations to make it, but I think if not for those trials and tribulations he would not understand what this truly means today.”
Prior to his signing with the WWE, Fatu has been a part of a lot of other promotions including a brief stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Apart from this, some of his other notable associations are All Pro Wrestling, House of Glory, and Major League Wrestling. He’s also held the Heavyweight Championship in these promotions too during his stint at these promotions.
He currently holds the tag-team championship in WWE, but could be projected in the singles title picture soon as well. He’s not been cleared for wrestling as of now, but he still makes appearances in the ring, and was recently seen attacking Roman Reigns during last week’s episode of SmackDown.
With a Bloodline Civil war currently brewing, it’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for this young wrestler in the coming days.
