The awards were presented at a ceremony in Boston.
WJAR won the award for evening newscast in smaller markets.
The NBC 10 News at 11 broadcast on Dec. 11, 2024, was chosen for its reporting on a night of severe weather.
NBC 10’s Sam Read won for health and medical reporting for her Show Us Something Good feature “The Bond Beyond Father’s Day.”
Two men from Providence who were once strangers became the best of friends after fate brought them together through a life-saving donation.
Sam was the reporter, writer and photographer for the story.
The awards were presented by the Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
