CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As 2025 trends make their final lap, a new wave of polished, modern, and truly wearable fashion is already stepping into the spotlight. Stylist Felicia Bittle sharing on Charlotte Today: “You don’t need a whole new wardrobe—just a few smart updates that make everything feel current again.”
On the show today we learned, across the board, women are moving away from the lighter, looser, and more nostalgic looks that defined the past year. The shift is toward elevated essentials, polished, intentional, and incredibly wearable.
The denim update is one of the easiest: light-wash styles are fading while dark-wash denim is taking over. Deep indigo feels sharper and transitions seamlessly from daytime errands to an evening out. As Bittle explains, “Dark-wash denim gives your outfit structure—, t’s the quickest way to look put-together without trying.”
Color trends are shifting too. Burgundy tones are stepping aside for vibrant Capri blue, a crisp, modern accent that pairs effortlessly with black, white, beige, and gray. It’s a small change with big impact. Accessories are getting bolder. Dainty jewelry is giving way to chunky, statement-making pieces, the kind that elevate a simple T‑shirt or sweater. “Statement accessories do the heavy lifting,” says Bittle. “They make even your basics feel styled.”
Print lovers aren’t left behind: leopard is dipping, while snakeskin details are becoming the new neutral, offering a more refined and contemporary take on animal prints. Silhouettes are sharpening as well. The soft ’70s references and bubble hems of 2025 are being replaced with structured shapes and asymmetric cuts that feel clean and modern.
And for shoes? Ballet flats are stepping aside for sleek loafers, comfortable, polished, and very much the 2026 mood. With a few strategic swaps, women can refresh their style now—no reinvention required.
