Booker T Weighs In On Zilla Fatu’s GCW Dispute, Reality Of Wrestling & Potential WWE Signing

Booker T has given his thoughts on the recent stories surrounding Zilla Fatu.

The son of the late Umaga became a major talking point among wrestling fans when it was first announced that he would not be appearing for any more GCW events moving forward. With the ongoing Bloodline saga in WWE seeing more additions to the storyline, many had speculated that this was a sign that Fatu’s debut was imminent. However, a follow-up report concerning Zilla Fatu provided more information, stating that the GCW incident was regarding a disagreement between the two sides as opposed to a WWE signing.

Fatu is also the current World Champion for the promotion Reality of Wrestling, which is run by the former World Champion. Speaking about the stories concerning Fatu on his Hall of Fame podcast, the NXT announcer stated that his concerns are getting the rising star to the next level:

“Zilla had an incident with GCW — I’m not sure exactly [what the] full details are. One side says one thing, the other side says another. My thing is, we concentrate on Reality of Wrestling, and I cannot think of anything other than trying to get that young man — Zilla, because he’s talent — get him to the next level. And the next level, for me, for Zilla is the WWE. That’s his landing zone. That’s his safe zone, with his family,”

Detailing his own relationship with Fatu, Booker T added that the ROW World Champion has a “safe zone” in his promotion:

“Reality of Wrestling is Zilla Fatu’s safe zone because, there again — one thing about this business, you’ve gotta deal with a lot of different people and you’ve gotta to know who to trust. At Reality of Wrestling, he’s at home,”

Booker T Comments On Hall Of Fame Induction

The 6-time World Champion is part of a very exclusive class of wrestlers as he has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, initially for his solo work and later with Stevie Ray as one half of Harlem Heat. While the inductions were deserved, Booker T recently explained why his first induction happened too soon.
