Gen Z’s fashion legacy has been chaotic so far, and it is likely to stay that way. But perhaps the generation’s unpredictable fashion is, in a way, its defining characteristic. We don’t know whether Gen Z will stick with underconsumption and sustainable capsule wardrobes, short-lived micro-trends, or a somewhat chaotic combination of both. But just like the generations before them, they were shaped by the world in which they were brought up. So, can we blame them?
