Kansas Democrats running for Congress debate immigration reform, ICE

Immigration reform — and changes to immigration enforcement — is becoming a campaign issue for Kansas Democrats running for Congress in 2026.

The Kansas Democratic Party hosted forums in Topeka on March 8 with six candidates for two U.S. House seats plus five candidates for one U.S. Senate seat. While the forums did not include questions specifically about immigration, a handful of candidates found ways to address it.
