Report: Chad Gable’s WWE contract is set to expire really soon

WWE star Chad Gable has been gaining traction as a heel on Raw ever since he turned on babyface Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn last month in Montreal. However, in a new report that came out earlier today, Fightful Select indicates that Gable’s WWE contract is set to expire next week on June 7, and a new deal has not yet been reached.

This isn’t the only expiring WWE contract in the news right now, as we’ve also seen similar reports about about Natalya and main event star Becky Lynch.

There has been speculation that Gable might remake his Alpha Academy stable now that he’s a heel, and decide to kick out Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri from the group in order to replace them with The Creeds. The first part of that scenario appears to be playing out, as Gable’s treatment of Alpha Academy has become more abusive in recent weeks. However, if Gable and WWE do not reach a new deal or extension over the next week, then there is only one episode of Raw left for Chad’s story to suddenly wrap up.
