Who is Skye Valadez?
After the pictures of Charlie Kirk’s suspect was released, the users on Reddit and 4chan went into a frenzy as they tried to identify the shooter. Many users on social media claimed that the suspected shooter is reportedly Skye Valadez, a trans digital artist.

Netizens went a step ahead and even found Skye Valadez’s Soundcloud account and claimed that the singer allegedly uploaded a song titled’ Charlie Kirk dead at 31′ weeks before the fatal shooting took place. Some users claimed the song was uploaded in August 2025 by Skye Valadez, a Utah‑based musician. They claimed that Valadez’s SoundCloud profile originally listed Ogden, Utah, as the location and was later changed to “leave me alone” following Wednesday’s shooting, according to Hindustan Times.
The screenshots of the alleged song are now making rounds on social media with another user having found Skye Valadez’s Facebook account, where he reportedly left a cryptic message that read “Leave me alone”.
It is pertinent to note that the FBI’s investigation in Charlie Kirk’s shooting is underway and there is no evidence to establish that Skye is responsible for the assassination of right-wing political activist.
It is important to note that this is purely speculation from unverified social media accounts. There is no evidence linking Valadez to the killing, and neither Valadez nor anyone close to the family has issued a public statement. Economic Times cannot independently verify these claims.
FBI releases image of “person of interest”
The FBI on Thursday released images of the “college-aged” suspect believed to have fatally shot US activist Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University. The bolt-action rifle used to kill Charlie Kirk recently has been found, the FBI confirmed, adding that the hunt to track down the shooter is still underway.
The suspect is believed to have fired from the roof of a building about 200 yards away. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox urged the public to come forward with any information.
“We have people all over the country trying to bring this perpetrator to justice,” he said at a press conference, adding that the FBI had received more than 7,000 leads and tips.

Cox stated that unverified information on the internet should not be believed or spread, claiming that “Russian or Chinese bots” were supposedly trying to gather misinformation.
