L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. — President Donald Trump is returning to the Lehigh Valley next week.
Congressman Dan Meuser announced Thursday President Trump will be speaking at the Mack Trucks facility in Lower Macungie Township on Tuesday, June 23.
Meuser says that Mack Trucks is a symbol of America’s manufacturing strength, and thanks President Trump for supporting American workers.
“I look forward to welcoming President Trump back to Pennsylvania, and hope to see everyone there to show our support and appreciation for his leadership in making America great again!” Meuser said in a Facebook post.
Congressman Ryan Mackenzie visited Mack Defense in Allentown on Friday to announce a $47 million federal contract that will keep military heavy dump truck production rolling in the Lehigh Valley.
Mackenzie said he’s looking forward to joining Trump at Mack Trucks.
“By investing in American workers and supporting domestic manufacturing, President Trump and Republicans in Congress have helped to put the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos at the forefront of our nation’s industrial revitalization,” Mackenzie said in a statement. “We appreciate President Trump coming to the region to help us highlight the work we’ve done together to support American workers, families, and industries.”
The event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Those who are interested in attending can register for the event here.
