Tuscaloosa’s Beauty Mark Formal Wear & Cosmetics Store to Close

A longstanding formal wear and cosmetics store on Tuscaloosa’s Skyland Boulevard will permanently close by November and discounts are already underway to liquidate inventory there.

Beauty Mark, a locally owned store, has occupied the space at 1621 Skyland Boulevard East for more than 20 years, according to information submitted to the Thread.

They will permanently close the store this year, they said in a news tip, but fortunately for lovers of the brand, their store in Northport will remain open.

“The store’s closing is scheduled for November, and plans are to liquidate all inventory before then, so customers should look forward to huge deals and markdowns,” A Beauty Mark spokesperson said in their submission.

Although the closing Tuscaloosa store has been open since the early 2000s, the Beauty Mark brand was launched locally in 1990.

The remaining store can be found at 4250 McFarland Boulevard in Northport, not far west of Highway 43.
