WWE SmackDown to be preempted Friday night for Alabama State Games Opening Ceremony

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – With WBRC FOX6 set to air the Alabama State Games Opening Ceremony from Legacy Arena Friday night, FOX’s broadcast of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be preempted.

Friday’s episode of SmackDown, taking place at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, will air on a delay at 11:05 p.m.

The Opening Ceremony of the Alabama State Games will start at 7 p.m. at Legacy Arena and is free for the public to attend.

Athletes in the Games will check in at 3p.m. with an Athlete Leadership Summit taking place at 5 p.m. Lineup for the Parade of Athletes will take place from 6:15 until 6:45 p.m. leading up to the Opening Ceremony.
