The FBI received two tips about possible bodies at Zorro Ranch. A buried girls email. A suspicious incinerator. Neither produced a search. We now know why.

Thirteen days after Epstein's death, an FBI agent wrote an internal memo to the New York criminal division chief explaining why Zorro Ranch was never searched.

One accuser was not enough for a warrant. Any search would be "futile."

At least a dozen accusers had named the ranch by that point. The New Mexico AG was begging New York to let them search. The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico was pressing the same. Both were overruled.

The first search of the property happened in March 2026. Thirty years after Annie Farmer, who was 16, filed the first documented complaint with the FBI.

There is also a layer to this story that has never gotten enough attention. The state leased Epstein 1,243 acres of public land for $872 a year as a privacy buffer around the estate. The AG later ruled those leases were obtained through illegitimate means. When the land commissioner tried to inspect the land in 2019, the gates were locked both times she showed up.

Virginia Giuffre described the ranch as Disneyland in her memoir. She died by suicide in 2024 still waiting for accountability.

What do you think explains the decision to leave this property unsearched while raiding everything else?
