One of the most popular figures in the Pro Wrestling industry, across all the companies, Rob Van Dam has shown his interest to wrestle in WWE once again. Van Dam is a WWE, ECW and TNA legend. He was recently a part of AEW too. Rob made a name for himself as one of the most prolific high flying wrestlers around the globe, who could entertain the audience at will.

It was Rob Van Dam’s popularity and freak agility that compelled WWE to bring him in back in 2001, as an important part of the Invasion storyline after ECW and WCW were shut down. He is a former ECW champion(WWE version) and WWE champion as well. After entertaining the WWE universe for a good six years, Rob Van Dam exited WWE in 2007, to join some indie promotions and eventually went to TNA. In the class of 2022, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He has also been a part of the current and strongest rival of WWE- AEW.

He was recently in the news as he shared his desire to wrestle with John Cena again. “Cena’s been the top guy for a long time, when I worked with him, he was in that position. It was obvious why he was in that position. He was really good at feeling the crowd, interacting with the crowd, he knew going out there he was going to be up against the crowd that hated him. Really the vocal, physical most opinionated crowd ever. But he was ready for it, and he handled it great, and I enjoyed working with him.” Van Dam was quoted as saying. Recently, in an episode of “1 of a Kind ” podcast, Rob was enquired about popular opponents for a WWE certified match, with fans taking names like Tommy Dreamer, fellow WWE Hall of famer Booker T and long time rival Sabu.

Surprisingly, Van Dam did not deny the possibility of having a match, only if the situations and conditions were right though. He stated “Yes, to all of it, I think that would be cool. That would be cool under the right conditions. I would love to work with Dreamer or Booker or Sabu” replying to the question of coming back. For the diehard fans of “Mr. Monday Night”, it would be a blessing to see their favorite high flying Maestro go toe to toe against his arch Rivals like Sabu and Tommy Dreamer, once again. Rob Van Dam was last seen in the WWE ring in 2014, in a match against Seth Rollins, which he lost, on an episode of SmackDown. He made an appearance in last year’s WWE draft, night 2.
