Is Bobby Lashley ditching pro wrestling for boxing?

With his days in WWE seemingly behind him, Bobby Lashley is moving forward. But where he may be going next might surprise fans.

In a new Instagram video, Lashley is brushing up on his boxing skills. Lashley captioned the video, saying, “The excitement of future possibilities fuels my drive—each decision opens up new doors, and I can’t wait to see where they lead. I’m unproblematic, but I can definitely be a problem!”

His post also featured the hashtag “boxing.”

Meanwhile, rumors are spreading that the former WWE Champion might join Misfits Boxing, a promotion started by English YouTuber KSI that features content creators and pro fighters. On X, an account called IFN Boxing, which covers influencer fighting events, posted a picture promoting Lashley’s possible boxing debut for the company in Las Vegas. While Misfits Boxing didn’t confirm this outright on its YouTube channel, they said, “This is a massive name. Let’s not get it twisted, that Bobby Lashley does appear on a Misfits card, that’d be huge that’d be great for everybody.”

Though Lashley is untested as a pro boxer, his credentials in combat sports are impressive. Lashley was a four-time All-American and three-time National champion in wrestling at Missouri Valley College. During his three years in the Army, he won gold and silver medals in freestyle wrestling under the International Military Sports Council. As a mixed martial artist, Lashley had a 15-2 record, going undefeated in five fights with the promotion, Bellator.

Should Lashley sign with Misfits Boxing, it could lead to increased publicity for both sides and raise Lashley’s value to WWE or AEW. In his Instagram post, Lashley said he loves fighting and seems confident about a potential career as a pugilist.

“I can be dangerous in a boxing ring, man,” said Lashley.
