Air France and rail operator SNCF have added Ouigo services to the ‘Train+Air’ programme, which combines train and air travel in one ticket.
The long-running partnership between the two French transport companies now includes Ouigo – SNCF’s low-cost, high-speed service – connections between Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. This will be “gradually extended” to include all 70 destinations served by Ouigo across France, SNCF said.
Ouigo trains serving Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport were added to the programme last October, but this comprehensive integration will now extend to Paris CDG airport, where the intermodal offer had previously been restricted to TGV Inoui services.
With the addition of Ouigo, 27 railway stations will be connected to the Paris hub as part of the intermodal initiative by September 2026.
The Train+Air service gives travellers access to a digital check-in process for all routes to eligible railway stations. Passengers can also check into flights 48 hours before departure and, in the case of a delay, a “guaranteed” seat on the next available flight or train will be offered at no extra cost, the companies said.
Air France director of sustainable development and new mobilities, Vincent Etchebehere, said: “Intermodality is a central pillar of Air France’s decarbonisation strategy. The gradual integration of OUIGO trains into the Train+Air service will allow our customers to benefit from a wider choice of low-carbon journeys to reach Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, not only from cities already served by TGV INOUI, but also, from 2026, from new stations in France.”
As part of the partnership, members of Air France’s Flying Blue loyalty programme can also convert miles to SNCF Voyageurs vouchers worth between €25 and €100.
