Booker T Believes WWE Star Needs To Break Away From Their Current Alliance

Booker T believes that a WWE star should follow in the footsteps of their former ally and look to pursue a solo career.

Back in April, Ludwig Kaiser attacked Giovanni Vinci, signalling the end of Vinci’s alliance in the Imperium faction. Absent for a number of months, vignettes promoting Vinci’s return began to air on SmackDown, which culminated on September 6th. However, things would not go the way that Vinci had intended as he lost to Apollo Crews in less than 10 seconds. Facing Crews again on September 20th, the match went longer but the result was still the same.

Discussing the repackaging of Kaiser on his Hall of Fame podcast, the former World Champion believed that Vinci was lost in the shuffle when he was in Imperium and understands the process of trying to reestablish Vinci:

“I’ve been watching the new packages on Giovanni. Man, I thought this guy had a great look and I thought his work was not bad either. I really think coming in with the Imperium, putting him in that group thing, it kind of maybe lost him in the shuffle a little bit because anytime you’re playing second to Gunther, you’re going to be playing second. So trying to repackage him and trying to get him back out there again, I see that. I understand because he is a guy that you do want to get in the mix, and I just don’t think it was a good thing him actually being a part of Imperium when he first came in.”

Continuing, Booker T added that Ludwig Kaiser should also break away from Gunther as he is being overshadowed by The Ring General:

“It’s just like Ludwig. Same thing with him. He’s trying to figure out how to not be Gunther’s second. He’s really good. He’s got a good character, but he’s got to figure out how to go out and figure out who he is, opposed to just being Gunther’s second.”

Booker T Discusses Switches Between WWE & AEW

The past 5 years have seen numerous stars make the jump from WWE to AEW and vice versa. While some have flourished and have become revitalised in their new home, others have struggled. Also on his podcast, Booker T spoke about the switches and noted one AEW star as being “lost in the shuffle.”
