Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Miami Real Estate Partner Sandra M. Ferrera has been named a 2025 Bisnow South Florida Women Leading Real Estate honoree. Ferrera was recognized on August 28 at the 2025 Bisnow South Florida Women Leading Real Estate Awards ceremony in the Excellence in Legal/Accounting category for her leadership in complex real estate structuring and her lasting contributions to the growth and transformation of Miami’s commercial real estate market.

According to Bisnow, the Women Leading Real Estate honor celebrates women who are shaping the future of commercial real estate across South Florida. This distinction recognizes professionals at all levels who are redefining leadership and promoting greater equity and representation within the industry. Candidates were nominated by members of the local commercial real estate community, with final honorees selected by Bisnow based on their impact, leadership qualities, and meaningful contributions to the field. In her practice, Ferrera represents real estate developers, lenders, and borrowers in all phases of complex commercial real estate transactions, including negotiating and closing acquisitions, sales, development deals, and both acquisition and construction financing. She also advises clients on lease negotiations, loan restructuring and enforcement, and has significant experience drafting condominium and homeowner association documents, successor developer filings, as well as managing all aspects of real estate closings and documentation.

Ferrera is an active member of the legal and business community, with a strong commitment to professional development, education, and civic engagement. She is actively involved with the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section, including its Condominium and Planned Development Committee. Ferrera is a member of numerous professional and community organizations, including the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Miami-Dade Chapter), the Dade County Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Miami-Dade County CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).
