Elon Musk makes big hint for ‘unlikely marriage’ with $3,000,000,000,000 business

If you thought Elon Musk was going to be tying the knot anytime soon, you might want to turn your sights away from the alter and towards another company.

Tesla’s founder, Musk, is one of the richest men alive and while you might be fine sitting on his $408.5 billion fortune, he might not be as happy.

While Elon Musk has had a rough year thanks to his unlikely support and work with President Donald Trump, who returned to the White House in January, his business ventures have not stopped.

Yes, his instigation of the Department of Government Efficiency saw him face plenty of backlash, with Tesla hit hard amid boycotts, protests, and record-breaking profit dips.

Also yes, he fell out with the POTUS over his One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and also faces issues thanks to Trump’s trade tariffs which threaten to hobble Tesla’s manufacturing, which largely takes place in China’s Tesla Gigafactory 3.

But in good news, Musk has been hinting at a historic merger, or an ‘unlikely marriage’ between his company xAI and Apple.

xAI is the face behind his AI chatbot Grok creation, which is similar to industry leaders like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot.

But as Apple has struggled to bring its own AI programs to fruition, seemingly only able to forecast making improvements to the Siri voice assistant in 2026, a deal between the two couple be mutually beneficial.

Venture capitalists started speculating about a possible deal between Musk and Apple and xAI bringing Grok to iPhones, and I can’t say I’m opposed (as a Google Pixel user).

Investor Gavin Baker called xAI’s Grok4 ‘the best product’ on the AI chatbots market but noted that ‘the best product doesn’t always win in technology’ on the All-In Podcast.

He said: “I think there is solid industrial logic for a partnership. You could have Apple Grok, Safe Grok, whatever you want to call it.”

Musk replied to the comments that it was an ‘interesting idea.’

He then assed, ‘I hope so!’ while responding to others explaining they think Apple partnering with xAI is a better idea than partnering with Anthropic.

The possibilities xAI’s Grok chatbot integrating with Apple’s devices could bring are endless.

For one, they could rule out any need for Siri.

It could also help Apple to finally break into the market with something that’s worthy of its own competitors.

However, there are some issues to address beforehand as Grok 4 faced controversy after repeating far-right hate speech and white nationalist points when talking about recent news.

Users claimed that on 8 and 9 July, Grok spoke of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, echoeing that Jewish people control Hollywood, and more.

xAI addressed those concerns on Musk’s company X: “We are aware of recent posts made by Grok and are actively working to remove the inappropriate posts.

“Since being made aware of the content, xAI has taken action to ban hate speech before Grok posts on X.”

So, whether this happens or not between Apple and xAI is up to them, but it could be a great prospect for the AI chatbot market.
