Emirates is expanding the deployment of its new premium economy cabin to 10 additional cities and increasing service frequency on existing routes.
The Dubai-based carrier said its latest premium cabin interiors will be available on more than 84 routes by 1 July, featured across retrofitted A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft as well as its new A350 fleet.
This includes the introduction of premium economy on flights from Dubai to Barcelona from 1 February, with the daily linked Barcelona–Mexico City service operating a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR from 15 February.
Effective 29 March, the carrier’s daily service to Rome will offer the new cabin, while a second daily Dubai–Copenhagen service featuring premium economy will launch on 1 June. Both Rome and Copenhagen routes will use A350 aircraft.
Between 15 March and 30 April, Emirates will operate its retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR on daily Taipei services, transitioning to the A350 from 1 May. A third daily Dubai–Phuket flight will commence on 1 July, operated by the new A350.
From 1 March, the retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR will serve Karachi daily. Additionally, two weekly Dubai–Cochin flights (Thursday and Sunday) will utilise this aircraft type from 29 January.
Daily Brisbane services will be operated by a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER from 29 March.
Within Africa, the retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR will fly daily to Addis Ababa from 1 March, while a third daily Dubai–Cape Town flight will launch on 1 July using ‘next-generation’ A350 aircraft that include the new cabin.
Meanwhile, the carrier’s daily service to Kuwait City will use a retrofitted Boeing 777 from 1 February to 30 April, then transition to an A350 from 1 May onwards.
Daily services to Tehran will be operated by a retrofitted four-class B777 from 29 March, and the Thursday Basra service will switch to a retrofitted 777-300ER from 29 January.
