Extremely elaborate deep-fake discovered on Research Gate claiming to be Epstein intelligence dossiers
Offering a heads-up about some documents that are showing up in search engine results for Epstein. At a glance, they come across and are presented as legitimate. But they are an elaborate fraud.
For the last 6 weeks or so the ‘Epstein Master Compendium’ on Research Gate has been showing up in search engine results for me from the prompt: ‘Epstein Documents.’ Often it was the 5th result when searing on google.
I skimmed the 196 page document a few weeks ago, found it interesting at a glance and logged it away with the intention of examining it closer at a later date.
The document claims to have originated from an intelligence organization and its structure and format provide superficial support for this.
Viewing the authors profile on Research Gate revealed numerous publications on various topics besides Epstein. After reading a few of them, I started researching the author; quickly discovering a profile that claimed he was president of Blackwood Industries LLC, an intelligence organization that operated as a private contractor for the US government.
I then attempted to ascertain what exactly this company was and why he kept referring to the OSS as if it still existed. The OSS was the precursor to the CIA and has not operated for over 50 years so I thought maybe it was just a coincidence and some other organization shared the acronym.
Then the whole thing fell apart.
The ‘intelligence’ company he claims to be the president of–Blackwood Industries LLC–is either a Texas based trucking company that had its grant revoked by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in 2022 ‘for want of prosecution’ or its a Ohio based veteran advocacy and cannabis lobbying organization.
The entire thing is a gigantic fraud orchestrated to lure readers into various ‘sovereign citizen’ conspiracy theories. Many of the documents are completely mundane by design. Within this elaborate ruse, the author (almost certainly an LLM) then drops very brief, absurd or fringe tidbits without comment or elaboration (“OSS Watchlist links AmerisourceBergen, McKesson, and 3M Health Systems to redirection of medical goods toward elite institutions—benefitting actors who use them as fronts for bio-experimentation or adrenochrome-like retrieval”).
The overall framework of the documents, the authoritative posturing of the author, and the prestige of the site Research Gate are leveraged to spread and conceal fringe ideas to those who would reject them if they were presented openly and honestly. They are put forth as the conclusions of an elite, establishment, intelligence service working as a private contractor for the State.
I think its very likely that the author, himself, does not actually exist. Its impossible to say for sure.
And this really demonstrates a flaw within the virtual world that is only going to deepen as the technology is refined.
Despite him claiming to be a candidate in the 2022 Ohio Senate campaign his name was not on the ballet and not a singe photo of him exists.
The whole thing gets stranger the deeper you go but I’ll spare you as I only wanted to offer a warning as some of you are likely to come across these documents if you have not already.
The prestige of an academic paper is largely determined by the number of times it has been cited in other publications. If I had looked at the author's citations to start with this whole ordeal could have been avoided. He has never been cited.
