According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 40-year-old Sanford man was traveling westbound on State Road 56 shortly after 10:15 p.m. when he struck a 34-year-old Sanford man who had just been involved in a minor crash east of Shops Lane.
Troopers said the 34-year-old man walked into the path of the Honda Civic driven by the 40-year-old Sanford man.
The 34-year-old was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
