Florida Panthers crack Stanley Cup during celebrations

(CNN) – The Florida Panthers celebrated their Stanley Cup victory over the Edmonton Oilers this week, perhaps a little too much – and it came at the expense of the trophy itself.

Somehow, Panthers players cracked the rim of the Stanley Cup.

A spokesperson for the Hockey Hall of Fame told the Associated Press that the keepers of the Cup plan to have it repaired in time for the Panthers’ celebration parade on Sunday.
