Frozen Four preview: UW faces North Dakota in national semifinals

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men’s hockey team is Frozen Four-bound to Las Vegas!

Twelfth-overall-seed UW, which won the Worcester Regional, is set to face North Dakota, the winner of the Sioux Falls Regional and second overall seed, in the first of two national semifinal matchups at 4 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 9, at T-Mobile Arena. The contest will air on ESPN2. 

Top-overall-seed Michigan, which won the Albany Regional, will face Loveland Regional-winner and fifth-overall-seed Denver, in the second regional semifinal game scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. CT on April 9. 

The winner of each contest will advance to the national championship game set for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. 

Wisconsin has six national championships, and this year’s Frozen Four features the top four teams with the most all-time NCAA championships, including the Badgers, North Dakota, Denver and Michigan.
