Shreveport – The Centenary men’s basketball team returns to the court on Tuesday night as the Gents will face the Arlington Baptist University Patriots in a non-conference contest set for 8 PM inside the Gold Dome.

Single Game ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for all children 12 and younger.
The Gents (0-3) aim for their first win of the young season after falling most recently to the East Texas Baptist University Tigers by a score of 73-67 on Friday night in their home opener. Centenary has played a tough schedule to date with losses to Berry College (77-55) and Pfeiffer University (78-77) as part of the Viking Tip-Off Classic in Rome, Ga. The Patriots enter Tuesday’s game at 1-3 overall.
Centenary leads the all-time series with the Patriots, 3-1. Arlington Baptist defeated Centenary 78-75 in last season’s season opener in Shreveport.
Senior G Quentin Beverly (Katy, Texas) led all scorers on Friday against ETBU with 23 points as he finished 8-16 from the floor and played all 40 minutes. Beverly hit four treys and added seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal and only turned the ball over one time. Freshman G Jaden Braden (Natchitoches, La.) posted his first double-figure scoring performance of the season as he finished with 15 points. The rookie played 38 minutes and was 5-11 from the floor and 5-7 at the FT line with four rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Freshman G/F Kane Broussard (Iowa, La.) scored nine in 29 minutes as he finished 3-8 from the floor with three treys and six rebounds. Sophomore G Nicholas Addison (Cedar Hill, Texas) scored eight points but played only 13 minutes and fouled out late in the game. He was 4-5 from the floor with two rebounds and an assist.
Senior G Craig Collier (North Little Rock, Ark.) scored six in 23 minutes off the bench as he was 2-5 from the floor and 2-2 at the FT line with two rebounds and an assist. Junior F Dontarius Coleman (Gibsland, La.) scored four points in his 25 minutes with six rebounds. Freshman C Bryce Evans (Austin, Texas) had two points and six boards in 28 minutes with two blocked shots and a steal.
The Gents are averaging 66.3 PPG as a team, shooting 39.3 % from the floor, 73.2 % from the FT line, and 23.5 % from beyond the arc. Centenary averages 33.7 rebounds/game and 7.0 assists/game.
Beverly (16.3) is the Gents’ leading scorer followed by Collier (15.0) and Addison (11.0). Braden is averaging 9.0, Broussard 6.0, and Coleman 5.7. Addison and Coleman share the team lead in rebounding (6.3) and Evans is behind them with 5.3.
