MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Google is launching, or re-launching, its own version of smart glasses. The tech giant is trying again after the first attempt in 2013, which saw Google quickly pulling the product seven months later after complaints that the glasses were too bulky.

Flash forward to now, and Google says its AI glasses will have a cleaner look. The new tech will reportedly let users interact with Google products like the Chatbot Gemini.

There will be two versions: one designed to act without any type of screen, and another with an in-lens display. Both will be built with Android XR, Google’s operating system for headset computers, and will have a 70-degree depth of field, plus optical see-through technology.

Google is working with an electronics and glass brand company, focusing on making the smart specs stylish and lightweight.

Meta is already making waves in this arena, having already sold nearly two million pairs of its smart glasses.

Google posted about the new XR Glasses in a blog. You can access it here.

From Glasses to Photoshop

You can now edit with Photoshop in ChatGPT.

Adobe is doubling down on its strategy of using AI to bring on more users. The company is adding features from Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat to ChatGPT, letting users ask the chatbot to use the apps to edit images, modify PDFs, or animate elements.

Just tell ChatGPT to “remove or blur this part of the picture” or “make the image brighter.” You’ll see an image slider where you can make adjustments, and you can also add effects like glitch or glow.
