Gull, Rachor Drop Heartbreaker in ITA Southwest Semifinals

SAN DIEGO, Calif.–The University of Hawai’i’s women’s tennis doubles team of Grete Gull and Sophie Rachor fought hard but came up short in Monday’s semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Southwest Regionals at the Aztec Tennis Complex in San Diego, Calif..

Gull and Rachor dropped their first set against CSUN’s Nicole West and Angela Ho. The Hawai’i duo battled their way back in the second frame, forcing a tie-breaker. However, the ‘Bows fell just short from evening the match at a set apiece as they fell in two, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6).

Hawai’i returns home to host their final matches of 2025 in the Rainbow Wahine Fall Invitational. The three day tournament runs from Nov. 5-7 at the UH Tennis Complex.
