President Donald Trump plans to cut into East Coast prime-time Wednesday night to deliver a speech to the nation about the war in Iran, his press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced.

On Truth Social, Trump has claimed that Iran’s president wants a ceasefire in the war that began with U.S. and Israeli attacks on Feb. 28, while Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Trump’s remarks were “false and baseless.”

Trump is saying he’s ready to end the Middle East war and could do so in two to three weeks.
According to the Associated Press, two U.S. officials say a carrier strike group that includes more than 6,000 sailors is heading to the region, following the arrival of thousands of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division.
President Trump’s speech, which is slated to last 20 minutes, is set to begin at 6 p.m. Pacific time (9 p.m. Eastern) and will be broadcast on the major television networks, including ABC (Channel 7), CBS (Channel 2), Fox (Channel 11), NBC (Channel 4) and PBS (Channels 28 and 50).

The president’s speech will be streamed live on the White House web site and its YouTube channel. A live stream is also available from USA Today.
The speech will also be covered live on the major cable news networks, including CNN, Fox News, C-SPAN and MS NOW.
Radio listeners can find the speech on NPR affiliates that include LAist (KPCC-FM) 89.3, KCRW-FM (89.9) and KVCR-FM (91.9). In addition to their broadcast signals, the three public radio stations offer live audio on their web sites. Also look for the speech on news radio station KNX (1070 AM and 97.1 FM).
According to US Weekly, the speech comes in the middle of the East Coast prime-time broadcasts of TV shows that include “Survivor,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Chicago Med,” “The Greatest Average American,” “Shark Tank,” and “The Masked Singer,” which was slated to air a three-hour season finale episode.
CBS, Fox and NBC will pause their East Coast prime-time programming for the speech, while ABC will replace first-run shows with reruns, US Weekly said.
