The Memorial Healthcare System appears to no longer be in-network for Florida Blue policyholders.
Starting Monday, the contract between the two expired, meaning Memorial Healthcare’s doctors, specialists and hospitals are no longer in the network for Florida Blue’s 31,000 affected policyholders.
Florida Blue posted on their website that they had been in negotiations with Memorial Healthcare.
Policyholders for Florida Blue can still go to Memorial and Broward hospitals for emergency care. Pregnant women and patients undergoing active treatment for serious and complex health conditions, or those in post-operative care following surgery, may be eligible to continue their care with Memorial for a period of time.
