Mercedes Moné Comments On Having Creative Control In AEW, Potential WWE Return

Mercedes Moné says she has creative control, but she works closely with Tony Khan. She also comments on potentially returning to WWE.

Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, walked out of the company in 2022. She had a brief run in NJPW/STARDOM that was derailed by injury before she signed with AEW. Since coming to AEW, “The CEO” has won the TBS Championship, and she has been positioned as one of the company’s top stars.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Mercedes Moné was asked whether she has creative control in AEW.

“I got this Mercedes Moné Comments On Having Creative Control In AEW, Potential WWE Return. I think just every single week, you gotta watch. Yes, I have creative control, but I work with Tony Khan very closely, so it’s great,” Moné said. “It’s a great combo.”

During the interview, Mercedes was also asked whether she would consider returning to WWE if she had everything she wanted.

“I have everything I love right now,” Mercedes Moné said. “So I’m happy.”

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Mercedes Moné will face Stephanie Vaquer in a Title For Title Match. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
