Pres. Trump focuses on Reflecting pool

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – With the 2026 midterms elections just a day away, President Trump on Monday touted the completion the repairs to the Reflecting Pool and also made his closing message to voters.

Off the campaign trail after nearly 30 rallies and with control of Congress at stake, President Donald Trump traveled from the White House to the Lincoln Memorial to tout the improvements to the Reflecting Pool.

It’s a project that took the Interior Department months to complete. The President repeated allegations there was vandalism involved.

“The people from Interior have been incredible. And the pool is now better and more beautiful than it’s ever been before. And we’re very proud of it.”

The President also made his closing message to voters- who will decide which party should control Congress for the next two years. “As you know, this is the last day before the midterm elections, the most important midterm, I believe, in our lifetime. The Democrat Party is nominated in the most extreme and dangerous slate of candidates in American history. These are the most dangerous candidates ever put up.”

While voters tell pollsters that their number one issue this election cycle is the high cost of living, the President did not address that issue during his remarks at the Reflecting Pool. Instead, the President touted what he described as a strong and resilient U.S. economy.

The President acknowledged that typically, historically the party in power loses seats during the Midterms. With a razor thin majority, the President and Republicans are hoping to defy that history. The final polls are pointing to significant Democrat success for the 2026 midterm elections.
