When the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Garrett Wilson to a two-way contract on Thursday, the NFL’s New York Jets had some questions.
In response to the Flyers’ post on X about signing Wilson, the Jets responded with the famous meme of former NBA guard Nick Young looking confused:
Of course, the Jets have a Garrett Wilson of their own in the 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, who topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three NFL seasons.
Wilson is not the next two-sport star following in the footsteps of Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders, though. Rather, the Jets’ Wilson and the Flyers’ Wilson are two entirely different people.
