Mercedes Mone believes pro wrestling is for everybody.
Professional wrestling has grown in the last couple of years ever since companies like All Elite Wrestling became the alternative that everyone was looking for in the States. Stars like Jay White, Will Ospreay, and Kazuchika Okada from New Japan Pro-Wrestling have found a home to showcase their skills to an even bigger audience.
In a conversation with Evan T. Mack, Mercedes Mone spoke about the importance of having alternatives in pro wrestling.
“They should never think there is one place to go. They should never think that. I knew that from the beginning because wrestling is everywhere and wrestling is for everybody. I don’t think you should just like one company. You should open your eyes to so many things because your favorite wrestlers come from all different companies. They travel around the world to gain their craft so much more so they can make it to a top company. They wouldn’t be there without all these different places and promotions. They need that experience and growth so they can be the best,” she said.
Mone made her official debut for All Elite Wrestling on the March 13 edition of AEW Dynamite: Big Business where she opened the show to massive applause from the crowd and then ended the show where she saved Willow Nightingale from an attack from TBS Champion Julia Hart.
