It is the final week of Pride, and the Buena Vista (BV) Pride Coalition still has a few events in store for the community. Community members interested in keeping up with BV Pride can follow the organization on Instagram or Facebook.
The BV Pride youth group, Pride of Lions, will enjoy Yard Games from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23.
Participants will play outdoor games, make new friends, and enjoy barbeque sandwiches and sides.
The event will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ (217 Crossman Avenue).
LGBTQIA+ allies and advocates are welcome.
There will also be a Pride of Lions special event on Monday, June 30.

Next up is Drag Queen Bingo starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at the Stardust Event Center.

“We have some wonderful prize packages donated by Inclusive, Welcoming Local Businesses, LGBTQIA+ owned local Businesses, and many wonderful Individuals/Coalition Members,” teased BV Pride in an email to members.
Previews of the prizes on will be shared on the organization’s Instagram or Facebook pages.
A $10 cash donation covers 2 bingo cards and one mocktail from N.A.A.F. (Non Alcoholic, Alcohol Free) Drinks by Rock Bottom. Additional Bingo Cards or Mocktails will be available for an additional $5 donation each.
The Stardust Event Center holds 60 to 65 people. Those who have pre-registered will receive entry first. Then, walk-ins can join if there is space left.
BV Pride recommends that anyone planning to attend pre-register. The registration form for this and all over BV Pride Pop Up Pride events this month is available online.

This is the third Pride for your Health Event of the month.
Yoga for Every Body is a collaboration with Matt Hughes and JalaBlu Collective Healing.
The class is free. People of all levels and abilities are welcome to join.
Jala Blu is located at 301 East Main Street, Unit 260.

The final Pop Up Pride event is Gays & Granola – GARNA Hike with Pride from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28.
The fourth and final Pride for Your Health event is a collaboration with the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA).
GARNA and the Chaffee Mobile Gear Library are hosting the hike, which will begin at the Barbara Whipple Trail BV River Park Bridge.
Participants will hike the Bridge to Bridge trail “with collective mindfulness in nature.”
The hike will conclude with snacks and a community circle.
The Mobile Gear library will be available for the event.
Attendees should sign the waiver and request any equipment in advance. Those under 18 will need a guardian’s signature to participate. Participation is free.
